The Great Commission

"Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!  Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28: 16 - 20

Trinity Baptist Church (TBC) has covenanted “to seek the salvation of the lost”.  TBC global outreach is possible through active ministry partnerships demonstrated through intential prayer, financial support, sending and short-term mission teams. Our heritage declares a strong commitment to Missions including an over 60-year partnership with multi-generational and other missionaries who have answered God’s call in Southeast Asia.

In the context at TBC, a sending team consists of persons, called by the Holy Spirit and under the authority of the Mission Commission and the Board of Deacons, to take personal responsibility for promoting and advocating a home-grown missionary’s ministry before the congregation and providing personalized care – whether they are preparing for the field, on the field or on home assignment.  The i-Team is a sending team created for the specific needs of a family who has served faithfully at TBC for over 18 years. In August 2009, TBC had the privledge to commission this family to service to proclaim the gospel of Chirst in Southeast Asia.
